Hi Everybody,
I'm following along with the podcasts and just received the Genki book. I was wondering if anyone else in the same position would like to do the classroom exercises with me using Skype.

Actualy I think it would be a lot easier if there was just one forum on one page. It could be divided into different sections. Just my 2 cents.
I know that the site is a bit hard to navigate. I'm hoping that I'll eventually get some grant money that I can use to hire a professional designer to help me clean things up...
Thanks Tony,
Sorry about that. I get confused with the different forums. I didn't see that post until I was looking for mine and couldn't find it. :) I'll just post over there so they are all together.

Hi, Clara!
Coincidentally, another student (one who is currently taking my class) also just posted a thread about forming a regular Skype-based practice group:

Let's try to get more people together, and make this a regular thing! I have a pretty crazy schedule this semester (and next!), but I'll drop in too when I can.

Yes, I agree, actually. Unfortunately, I don't know a very easy way to do that. The software that I used to create this site has a built-in "groups" function that I want to continue using, but a side effect of that is that each group gets its own message board system. I'm sure that there is some way to disable the per-group message boards and create a single separate message board, but doing that would take a bit of tinkering. Also, the features that the site currently has are eating up a lot of memory, so I'm afraid to add many more large modules -- I can't afford to upgrade my hosting service plan so that I can get more RAM. (T-T)
Hopefully within the next year or so I'll find some way to get a grant or some other source of significant funding that will allow me to upgrade my hosting plan, and also hire a more capable developer who can help me make some much-needed improvements to the design and functionality of the site.
